Floating turbines for generating electrical energy without emissions. -
The best climate-neutral energy production.

The vision

Climate change presents all humanity with unprecedented challenges. The unstoppable progress of global warming must be restrained again. If this does not happen, the global warming will have catastrophic consequences for this globe.

Through the use of fossil fuels (burning coal, oil and natural gas), deforestation of rain forests , expanding stockbreeding and the associated expansion of feed crops, we are increasingly changing the global climate and constantly raising the temperature on this earth. Thus, the amount of greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, methane) increases enormously, and this increases the greenhouse effect and global warming. A topic that is gaining importance worldwide.

Our environment

In order to reduce the burden of harmful emissions on the climate, it will be necessary to create more space to climate-neutral electric energy in the future, for example in transport, heating in private and public households and in many other areas.

When producing electrical energy, it is therefore important how it is generated. The production of electrical energy with thermal power plants pollutes the atmosphere, that from nuclear power plants can have catastrophic effects on mankind, as the events in Chernobyl and Fukushima have clearly demonstrated.

Why energy from hydropower

Electricity generation from hydropower is the most efficient and cleanest solution for renewable energy. Solar energy is depending on the sun and is largely uneconomical. The efficiency is low compared to our flow turbines, but the maintenance and repair costs are significant. The lifetime of a solar cell is much shorter compared to the lifetime of our energy recovery system.

In order to limit the global warming target of science and politics to 1.5°C until 2030, it is undoubtedly necessary to produce much more "clean" energy than has been the case up to now.

Thermal energy generation must therefore be rejected because every thermal process inevitably causes emissions.

Wind turbines and hydroelectric power plants cause enormous investment costs in their construction and later have to be maintained and serviced very costly. Another disadvantage of these stationary power plants is the transmission of electricity, because the infrastructure for power transmission not only causes immense costs (and emissions) in their production, but also the follow-up costs for maintenance and service are enormous.

In our view, the production of electrical energy from the natural resources of rivers and streams in addition to the large stationary power plants will be essential in future if the climate goals that have been set are to be achieved. The flow energy of the rivers allows a very low-cost, emission-free production of electrical energy in large quantities.

The advantages of our system

Our power generation system by floating turbines -

- does not interfere the natural river.

- No dams and consequently no locks have to be built.

- The shore landscape remains largely untouched.

- No noise pollution

- 100% clean energy

- No expensive infrastructure for power transmission

- The investment costs are relatively low.

- The efficiency is incredibly high.

- Easy installation

- Low costs for maintenance and installation

- The lifetime of our energy recovery system is virtually unlimited

- MADE IN AUSTRIA

With our floating turbines, we offer a system for the production of electricity, which does not require enormous investment costs. A system that is easy and uncomplicated to install and that produces electrical energy with an unprecedented level of efficiency. The efficiency is approximately 95% in practical operation (depending on the fluctuation of the flow velocity and other parameters) without consideration of the revision times.

A product from Austria

The flow turbines are manufactured in Austria / Europe.

Performance and efficiency

Our turbines are suitable for flow speeds of 1.5 to 3 m / second. The increase in output takes place from 2 m / second (speed square), whereby at 2.5 m / second we are already generating 50 kilowatts of electrical power regardless of the outside temperatures, water temperatures, wind force, the seasons and other climatic and environmental influences.

At a flow speed of 2.8 m / second, we reach about 80 to 90 kilowatts (in some cases - depending on the turbulence in the water - even 100 kilowatts and more). But even at low water flow speeds of 1.5 m / second to 2 m / second, we still consistently produce between 15 and 22 kilowatts of electrical energy per turbine.

The turbines can be installed next to each other and, of course, one behind the other. When installing one after the other, a turbine-to-turbine distance of only about 25 m is needed.

Depending on how much energy is required, the number of turbines results.

System requirements

For the installation of the turbine we need a river depth of about 5 m, but at least 0.5 m distance between the river bottom and the bottom of the turbine funnel. A turbine with the floats has a length of about 8 m and a width of about 4.5 m, the transport weight is approximately five tons.

Scope of delivery and installation

The turbines are installed with a catamaran-style ship which is an integral part of the scope of delivery. The ship is a truss structure and is delivered disassembled to the installation site.

Of course, with the turbine (or turbines) we also supply the complete cabling and the complete electrical equipment that are necessary to operate the turbines. These are installed in a mobile container with the dimensions 2 m x 2.4 m x H 2.5 m, which is designed to accommodate the electrical switching and control devices of up to ten turbines. Electrical energy is forwarded from this energy container on the river bank to the consumers or to the transformers.

The more turbines, the higher the yield and the faster the amortization. We therefore recommend installing at least three, ideally up to ten, turbines.

Each turbine requires a concrete anchoring point at the river bottom for its installation. This concrete anchor point is provided with a roping device, each turbine is roped to the foundation block and floats in the river just below the water surface. The flow automatically aligns the turbine with its floating bodies so that the frictional losses are insignificant for the efficiency of the delivery performance of electrical energy.

Maintanance and repair

Our system is almost maintenance-free (depending on the degree of contamination of the water. The turbine is lifted out of the water once or twice a year with the maintenance catamaran and cleaned.) An inspection is required after every flood.
